  1. Falcon 10X First Flight A Mystery; Falcon 6X Expands Performance Capabilities
JF has not published any news regarding the future Dassault Falcon 10X and its 10X powerplant in a while. Rolls Royce, the manufacturer of the Pearl 10X that has been developed for the Falcon 10X suggested that it has filed all data related to the certification of the engine. Rolls Royce completed their testing work nearly since this same time last year.
  2. Dassault has been tight-lipped about anything concerning the Falcon 10X first flight. We know that the first flight test bird is currently in advanced stage of assembly at the company's Bordeaux-Mérignac factory putting it closer to completion. If this new Dassault Falcon flagship is to meet its 2027 type certification and entry-into-service deadlines then we should be seeing roll-out of a test article soon.
  3. While the attention is now squarely on the Falcon 10X, the Falcon 6X is still expanding its capability. Having been in service since 2023 after attaining tandem FAA and EASA approvals on August 22nd 2023, the Falcon 6X has been involved in altitude and steep-approach related certifications. The UK's CAA issued approval for the 6X to operate at London City Airport after proving it can handle the airport's steep 5.5-degree approach to its short 4,948-foot runway.
  4. The Falcon 6X has also been operating at high-altitude airports like in Bolivia. In fact, in July, a flight-test team successfully conducted takeoffs and landings at El Alto International Airport (SLLP) in Bolivia near the city of La Paz. SLLP has an elevation of 13,325-feet. As for the timing of the first flight for the Falcon 10X, Dassault is keeping that a secret for now. In the most recent financial results press conference Dassault refused to answer reporters questions related to the 10X's first flight.
