  1. X-1 Demonstrator Takes To The Skies For The First Time
Recently JF informed you that Heart Aerospace was on the cusp of being able to commence flight testing of their X-1 demonstrator aircraft. Since then, the company did make the first flight from Plattsburgh International Airport (KPBG). The first flight only endured 27 minutes of flight and reached a maximum altitude of 1,100-feet.
  2. The aircraft's all-electric power produced around 1 mW of power and the aircraft made the first flight under the FAA Experimental Category Special Airworthiness Certificate (SAC-EC). There were no reported issues on the first flight but this will prove-out the concept in real-world conditions. The X-1 is a full-scale demonstrator and is the precursor to the final electric passenger aircraft known as the ES-30.
  3. The X2 pre-production aircraft would be next in line to eventually make its flight and continue testing. They should also have “the first pre-production ES-30” in development as well. If all goes according to plan then this pre-production 'ES-30' is expected to fly in 2028. Heart Aerospace is targeting 2031 for service entry of its all-electric regional airliner. Heart Aerospace moved some of its operations from Gothenburg, Sweden to the United States especially for the testing component of development.
